Teeth whitening is recommended to patients who would like a brighter, whiter smile and have healthy, unrestored teeth and healthy gum. The yellow tone teeth respond best to teeth whitening techniques. However this cosmetic procedure is not recommended for everyone.

Teeth whitening is not very successful or will not recommended at all in any of the following cases:

• Pregnancy and age related issues. Whitening is not recommended for children under the age of 16. This is because the nerve of the tooth (tooth chamber), is enlarged until this age. Teeth bleaching under this condition could provoke unwanted irritation of the pulp or cause it to become too sensitive. Teeth whitening is also not recommended to pregnant/lactating women.
